Zounds *Spoilers*

As promised the more entertaining rant:

First off, I should announce with great zeal that the Penguin T-shirt is now available for pre-order in almost any size you can imagine yourself in. Life just doesn't get better than penguin swag. The pre-order period will continue through the end of the month, where upon the pre-orders will be shipped out and the more mundain but equally good "normal order period" will begin.

Secondly, I have some thoughts on some movies, and no it's not about Revenge of the Sith. I finally saw Aliens Vs. Predator the other night. Those of you who are groaning, really shouldn't bother, I won't be long on the subject. All I will say is that while certainly not as good as say Aliens, it was leagues beyond the crap in Alien Resurection. And that surprised me, I expected a lot worse.

In vaguely related news, I saw all of the HBO mini-series "Revelations." I don't know how many people saw this, but I'm told it was popular. And I can see why, it was a pretty good flick, full of end-of-days goodness. It took a lot of Biblical text and let it play out in a mostly believable fashion. Very X-files-ish really. But the ending was a huge let down. After all the awesome build up to the end-times, it all just ... ended. Not with judgement day or anything like that, oh no. Christ was reborn, the Anti-christ was born, and that's where the movie ended, leaving the world to wait 20 years while the kids grow up to fight the ultimate good vs. evil boxing match. It was just so terribly anti-climatic. The end-of-days wasn't prevented like it is in so many movies, it happened, but the show stopped before the end really came. And that saddened me greatly.

Also, Pillowtalk is an exceptionally fun movie, though you have to know what a "party line" is to really understand.

Garth, you might be thinking, why are you so behind the times? Why don't you talk about the new stuff that's happening? Bah, who needs one more oppinion on the latest movie, or bit of politik, or what have you? Everyone's got an oppinion on the latest thing, and if I have an oppinion worth sharing, I'll let you have mine too, but until then I'll give you my thoughts on all the little random, out of date things. Ok, so I guess this rant hasn't been quite as entertaining or as focused as I originally hoped for. But I guess it will do until something sparks in my head and I need to vent about.

Welcome to the Comedity. Don't step on the Penguin.
